Abstract Vintage Istanbul Galata Tower Wallpaper Mural

On the right, Galata Tower rises in front of a half sun disc, with old buildings stacked on the hillside below it and trees along the shore. On the left, a white ferry crosses the water and three seagulls fly in the sky. Rectangular blocks in grey, mustard and peach, and thin vertical lines in black and gold, are laid over the scene, turning the picture into an abstract collage. The reflections on the water are broken by horizontal brush marks, and the ground is mottled like aged paper.

Where it works

Use it behind a sofa, in a study, or in places where an Istanbul theme means something, such as offices, cafés and hotel lobbies. The tower stands in the right half of the wall, so placing a sofa to the left and a table in the middle balances the composition. It pairs with a grey sofa, terracotta and mustard cushions, dark walnut and black metal-legged furniture. A large-leaved plant such as a monstera balances the warm tones.
